Undergraduate Students

Card Issuance

The Irish1Card for mobile devices is the default card issued to undergraduate students. Please refer to the Apple or Android device setup instructions to configure your Irish1Card now. If you are unable to use the Irish1Card for mobile devices, please follow the instructions for acquiring a plastic Irish1Card. Incoming fall students will receive communication about the photo submission step as part of the matriculation process. You must have an active NetID in order to submit a photo.

Access

The building/facility access you'll need gets automatically assigned to your Irish1Card. Examples include residence halls doors, RecSports facilities and Hesburgh Library access. A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required along with your campus ID card when accessing some of the restricted areas. The 4-digit PIN is automatically assigned once your card is printed. Please click here to view or change your PIN and be sure to keep it confidential! Note: To access the PIN page you must be using restricted campus WiFi (eduroam), or be logged into the VPN. Take good care of your Irish1Card and should you lose it, report it "lost" right away. If you have questions contact the Campus Card Office.

Dining

Residential undergraduate students are able to use the Irish1Card automatically at the beginning of the semester to access their Gold Plan. No additional activation or request is necessary. However, those interested in changing from the Gold to the Blue or Green Plan must do so within the first two weeks of each semester. Further instructions on how to change plans can be found here. You can check to see the balance of an active meal plan at get.nd.edu.

Purchasing

Your Irish1Card can be used for making purchases both on and off-campus. The two types of accounts students use the most are Flex Points and Domer Dollars. Flex Points are loaded onto your Irish1Card as part of a meal plan and can be used at Campus Dining locations. Domer Dollars is a convenient campus debit account, which allows funds to be added to your Irish1Card via a credit/debit card. Once added, Domer Dollars can be used to make purchases at all campus retail locations, vending and laundry machines, and select off-campus locations. More information on Domer Dollars can be found here. You can check the balance of these accounts, or view transaction history by logging in at get.nd.edu.

Events

Many campus events require verification of your Irish1Card for entry. You should always be ready to provide your Irish1Card for verification, so it's best to have your Irish1Card with you at all times.

Transportation

The South Bend Bus service (Transpo) is available. Students with an active Irish1Card ride for free!
