Card Issuance

The Irish1Card for mobile devices is the default card issued to faculty and staff. Please refer to the Apple or Android device setup instructions to configure your Irish1Card now. If you are unable to use the Irish1Card for mobile devices, please follow the instructions for acquiring a plastic Irish1Card. New employees must first complete the required new hire paperwork with the Office of Human Resources prior to receiving an Irish1Card. Once the paperwork is complete, submit your photo using Get and load your Irish1Card.

Access

General building/facility access is automatically assigned to your card at the time of printing. Examples include RecSports facilities and Hesburgh Library access. More specific door access will need to be requested by your department/office administrator through Locksmith Services by submitting an AIM order. Be sure to follow-up with your department/office administrator to ensure access has been requested and is set up properly. A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required along with your Irish1Card when accessing some of the restricted areas. The 4-digit PIN is automatically assigned once your Irish1Card is created. Please click here to view or change your PIN and be sure to keep it confidential! Note: To access the PIN page you must be using restricted campus WiFi (eduroam), or be logged into the VPN. Take good care of your Irish1Card and should you lose it, report it "lost" right away. Dining

Faculty and Staff have several options ranging from convenient block plans, to the increasingly popular "Value Meals". Upon purchase the meal plan is programed to your Irish1Card and ready to be used. More information about these meal plans can be found here. You can check to see the balance of an active meal plan at get.nd.edu.

Purchasing

Your Irish1Card can be used for making purchases both on and off-campus. Domer Dollars is a convenient campus debit account, which allows funds to be added to your Irish1Card via a credit/debit card. Once added, Domer Dollars can be used to make purchases at all campus retail locations and select off-campus locations. More information on Domer Dollars can be found here. You can check your Domer Dollar balance, or view transaction history by logging-in at get.nd.edu. Also, when making purchases at any of the University Bookstore locations be sure to show your Irish1Card and get your discount!     

Events

There are many campus events that require verification of your Irish1Card for entry. You should always be ready to provide your Irish1Card for verification, so it's best to have your Irish1Cardwith you at all times.     

Transportation

The South Bend Bus service (Transpo) is available for free with an active "Faculty" or "Employee" Irish1Card.
