Domer Dollars
What are Domer Dollars?
Domer Dollars are convenient electronic funds that are remotely programed to your University of Notre Dame campus ID card (typically within 5 minutes of purchase).
Domer Dollars provide campus ID card-holders the power to make purchases at many on-campus businesses and select off-campus merchants without the need to carry cash or credit cards. Campus vending and laundry also accept Domer Dollars and unlike a credit card, there are no deposit fees, no mounting debts with Domer Dollars, no interest charged, and no monthly bill – just a record of the debits made from your already deposited funds.
Making Deposits
Deposits can be made electronically with a credit or debit card (minimum $5.00) by clicking on the link above, or in person at the Campus Card Office (423 Grace Hall).
University Departments may add Domer Dollars by FOAPAL by using this link to submit a request. Please note that such deposits may be considered a taxable benefit according to IRS Regulations and are submitted to the University's Tax Office for review and reporting. Domer Dollars cannot be charged to a Research and/or Restricted Account. TravelND Cards, ProCards, and Meeting Cards cannot be used to purchase Domer Dollars.
How are Domer Dollars different from Flex Points?
Flex Points are an extension of campus meal plans and are accepted only in select on-campus retail food service establishments. Flex points roll over from fall to spring semester and expire at the end of the academic year. Flex points cannot be purchased outside of a meal plan or a la carte.
Domer Dollars are more versatile than Flex Points, with broader acceptance in more locations, both on and off campus. For students and staff, Domer Dollars never expire, and will carry over from year to year. Additionally, when students or staff leave the university, any remaining balance of $25 or more will be refunded through an automated process. You may use Domer Dollars to make purchases at many select off-campus merchants in addition to the on-campus businesses, including both food and non-food related entities. (Certain items that are deemed not in accordance with a healthy community and Church teaching may not be purchased with Domer Dollars).
